23, of Jonesboro, La.; was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; died July 18 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
